The Nutcracker: Ballet & The Brain

In the senior living industry, we have learned that when someone watches a theater performance, their cognitive and emotional skills improve. While watching and listening to a live performance, audiences must engage in critical thinking and many emotions. This time of year, as seniors are recalling holiday memories through Christmas carols, family visits, decorations, and even smells, Legend Senior Living wants to share another holiday favorite: The Nutcracker.

Legend Senior Living is partnering with the Oklahoma City Ballet & Civic Center Music Hall and showing The Nutcracker. You’ll be entertained followed by education on the link between watching theater performance and cognitive function.
