Expert Presenter: Paula Falk, CTRS, CDP, Director of the Caregiving Services, Senior Friendship Centers

speaker-paula-falkPaula holds a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Florida and worked extensively with senior adults. While working in Psychiatry, she had the opportunity to develop the first partial hospital program for geriatrics in Sarasota County for Sarasota Palms Hospital. Paula was able to apply those skills in developing the Caregiver Resource Center. Paula is a Certified Dementia Practitioner.

Paula has facilitated weekly Caregiver Support groups for more than 22 years. She served on the Grief, Loss and End of Life Coalition, and was the Chairperson for the Community Caregiver Forum for 10 years. Paula also has been a guest columnist for the Herald Tribune titled Coping and Caring and had a Blog Talk radio program for caregivers “Ten Minutes with Paula”. She is a Master Trainer and teacher for Powerful Tools for Caregivers, an evidenced based program that helps caregivers better care for themselves.
