Cognition & Cardinals: Paint Your Way To Mental & Motor Skill Sharpness

Art is a product of human creativity. Painting, specifically, is good for your brain, working it in unique ways to boost memory, reduce the risk of cognitive decline, generate emotional growth, and enhance mood – all while also improving motor skills. So while art can enhance any room, it also enhances brain function and your well-being. Plus, it’s fun! We invite you to attend this interactive painting tutorial with local artist Angela Faidley. We supply the canvas; you supply the creativity!

When: Wednesday, January 20

Expert Presenter Angela Faidley Out of Our Minds Art Studio

speaker-angela-faidleyAngela has been involved in the Arts in some way since her youth. Her training includes Commercial Art at BOCES (Binghamton, NY), The Portfolio Center (Atlanta, GA), and Fine Arts at Lehigh Carbon Community College and Baum School of Art. She was an Art teacher in a parochial school for 12 years, an Adjunct Professor at Northampton Community College, and held Commissioner's title on the Emmaus Arts Commission for four years. She also serves on the Creative/ Art board of the Allentown St. Patrick Parade Committee, The Macungie Holiday, and The Macungie Town Beautification Committee.

“The power to guide minds to see beyond reality and look deep into their souls is awe-inspiring,” she said. “Art is the air that I breathe, the visions that dance before my eyes, and the flashing images that catapult me from sleep, longing to be captured on canvas. The need to share these life-altering emotions demanded I become a teacher of art.”
