Celebrating A Return To Normalcy

**UPDATED: May 17, 2021

Let’s celebrate our progress in returning to normalcy with some good news.

VACCINATION

First, we have very good news on the vaccination front. All of our residences have held vaccination clinics and we have reached a level of 93% of all residents fully vaccinated. The clinics were held on-site at the buildings with CVS administering the Pfizer vaccine.

Legend Senior Living has worked diligently to educate and provide information to associates and residents as well to help them make an informed decision about receiving the vaccine. As we anticipated, a high percentage of individuals participated in the opportunity to receive the vaccination during the early phases of the country’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution. All the vaccinated residents were voluntary participants. We want to thank our residents for their participation.

There have been questions about what happens now that vaccine clinics in the residences are completed. Legend Senior Living now operates with eased COVID-19 protocols. With that in mind, we will practice reasonable caution and continue to follow State, County, and City health orders related to COVID-19.

VISITS

Because of the success of our efforts, and thanks to the receding numbers of infections in our cities, visits and on-site tours are now allowed in all residences.

We will continue to conduct screening of visitors, including asking if they have been exposed to the virus or have symptoms and taking their temperatures. As always, we provide first for the security and privacy of our residents, and our usual screening measures for visitors will remain in place.

Masks will still be required for visitors when entering and exiting the main entrance and while they are in the areas outside of the private apartments. As each of the State Health Departments change this order, we will change also.

DINING AND ACTIVITIES

We are as eager as the residents and families to return to our active, independent lifestyles, to socialize with old friends and to make new ones. You will see Life Enrichment and dining steadily transitioning to larger groups to allow greater socialization and the cultivation of friendships. Our goal is to reach our usual level of dozens of activities on every monthly calendar. We are, at this time, allowing some outings – organized group excursions outside the residence building – which will increase as conditions outside continue to improve. Please consult your residence director on updated information on all activities and outings.

ONGOING

The management teams have been heroic in their efforts over the past year-plus, to say the least. We appreciate the many sacrifices they have made to provide care and services during a very trying time for our country. We also appreciate residents and families understanding as protocols have continually changed through this pandemic.

Legend Senior Living will continue to inform you as updates are received.  Please note that, while more stable, each state’s specific COVID-19 plan and protocols are still in constant states of change, according to different conditions in the state populations. We are continuing to monitor this information frequently and thank you in advance for your support and patience during this process.

Respectfully,

Tim Buchanan

President and CEO
